The Nominees for the Worst Song Ever – VOTE NOW!

Are you ready?  There were a hell of a lot of nominations for Worst Song Ever yesterday on Twitter and Facebook.  Nominees had to receive more than one nomination or have a special bad-song dispensation from the Pope of Worst (me!)  A few of these I don’t agree with – but most I do.

You can vote on any one of the songs below for the Worst Song Ever, and I’ll post the list of the winners (?) tomorrow.  I suggest you do a YouTube search on some of the songs below.  There are truly some Godawful numbers down there you may not have heard of or have forgotten.

If you want to promote one of the following songs as the Worst Ever, post a link to a song or video in the comments below so other people will know about it. But, unfortunately, we are not accepting any new nominees.

You can vote here, or on my Facebook or Twitter pages.  If on Twitter use hashtag #worstsong.

Now go for a walk in the Garden of Undelight with a heaping helping of the worst fucking songs ever recorded:

  • If I had my head screwed on before the first round of voting started I would have voted for Hotel California, hoping that someone else would have voted for it as well so it would make the final cut. That song really is an abomination, and the fact it’s so popular makes it worse, most boring tune of all time.

  • BarbaraMSD

I know I already said I hate it, but I just want to add that I am writing the sequel to “Lady in Red” and it is called “Whispery Dude in Red.” And the red is his voluminous, spurting blood, which he is lying face down in a pool of.

Yes, I hate it that much.

  • Baalirock

Suprising amount of hate for Toto and The Hooters!

I gotta go with Christmas Shoes by Newsong. One of the only songs on this list that physically hurts.

  • Yeah…After the Fire’s version was a remake. I own both versions. I am not proud of this.

  • Putride

    Crazytown – Butterfly
    Rico Suave – Gerardo

can’t pick one.those songs are the only ones i hate more than “je danse dans ma tête” by Celine Dion.If you are American and got annoyed by Celine, listen to the french shit and you’ll feel lucky hahaha

  • Kurt Fischer

There are lots of bad songs on the list (and a few good ones….Zevon should not be on there), but there are lots of “good” bad songs as well.

I’m still voting for Strokin’ by Clarence Carter. It’s one of my pet peeves and I will not rest until its crappiness is recognized.

  • Nostra

It was difficult because they are a lot of crappy song but I choose “Wannabe – Spice Girls”, my sister was a fan and she listened this song all the time, she made me crazy with this !

  • Tuppence

I might be too late but I’d vote for “My Humps”. I’m sure there are worse songs on this list, but I find Fergie so damn irritating that this song trumps them!
